B. Steyaert / B.W. Strapp / Sunarto / Ghislain Swimberghe

B. Steyaert ( 1909 -

The harbor of Antwerp has been painted a lot of times
but this impressionistic approach and the play of the colors
around the boats depicted betray a lot of skills to our
belief. Work on board. Dimensions: 43 / 62 cm.

Though this painter should be a well known one also in
the Paul Piron there is no surname. This artist remains a
bit a mystery though auction results are quite good!

B.W. Strapp

For those who have ever been in Africa this work
must be quite convincing: Typical colours of this continent
Oil on Canvas: Board / Marouflé
Dimensions: 45 - 55 cm.

Sunarto (B)

Little can be found that is similar to this work and the name
Sunarto more than often appears in Indonesia but this work
is nicely done and the subject is attractive. Oil on cotton.
Dimensions: 70 / 90 cm.

When someone has more information or recognizes this particular
painter, feel free to E-mail me. My adress can be found in the
head of this blog. This painting is not that old to our opinion.

Ghislain Swimberghe

A well depicted still life from the Belgium based artist
Ghislain Swimberghe who was born in Bruges but had
his education in Gent. Besides painting with oil on
canvas he often produced watercolors that are widely
spread around Europe but in fact were meant to be
the more touristic stuff though craftsmanship is also
there. Oil on canvas. Dimensions: 50 / 60 cm.

A forceful detail of this nice work.

And of course his signature though in fact not
comparable to those placed under his watercolors.
