Ferdinand Schirren ( 1872 - 1944 ) Hans Schmidt




In fact a mixed technique likely from the hand of this Belgian
painter who is said to be the first fauvist in Belgium.


For investigators: The pencil written signatures on his works
differ from the painted ones. He also used a stamp with
encadrement. Immediately recognizable are the two
prefixes "r" in his name. The "e" and "n" that follows
are sometimes written together but not always

based artist. His animal paintings are the most wanted ones.
