Anne Jan Pelsma / Zoltan Perlmutter / Maurice F Perrot

Little information can be found about this Dutch painter.
During worldwar II he had an exhibition at the Rijksmuseum
together with Postma.
Oil on panel. Dimensions: 50 - 75 cm

Zoltan Perlmutter (1922 - 2003)

Presented here are a few smaller works that we've came across
in the last 15 years. Besides working on bigger canvas or paper
he often worked on layers of small dimensions in which he
excells to our opinion. The one here above presents a jewish
wedding party. Work on canvas. Dimensions appr. 10 / 16 cm.

As most other Israelian artist he loved to depict musicians
and though the cello player himself has been done with a
lot of craft the environment is not really "logical".
Work on canvas. Dimensions 10 / 16 cm.

And here are some musicians and a dancer (in the middle)
depicted. As the scenery almost covers the whole area
it is one of the more interesting works we've came across.
Work on canvas. Sticked on wood. Dimensions: 13 / 19 cm.

For someone who doesn't know this artist the signature
remains unreadable but it is unmistakable a "Perlmutter".

Maurice F Perrot (1897-

The Frenchman Maurice F Perrot made this still life around
1925 as it must have been made around the same time the
painting here below has been done. Striking is of course
the freshness this work has to these days and the way
the vase has been executed is quite similar as his other
still life with the statue. As far as I can see the same vase!
Oil on board. Dimensions: 33 / 41 cm.

And of course the signature of this artist that is quite
convincing. He made some remarkable works that were
sold on auctions  for several thousands of dollars.

The way Perrot executed the vase is allmost identical.
His skills are present in several subjects as well.
