Alphonse De Clercq / Juul DeCort / Germaine Decoster

This painting has been done near Knokke: "Het Zoute"
strangely enough the painter worked on a black surface.

And of course his signature.

Juul DeCort

This still life of the belgium artist Jules De Cort
again proofs his skills in a wide variety of
styles. Sometimes painstakingly naturalistic
to an expressionistic style. These roses however
are showing some impressionistic influences.
The subtle colours not only in the flowers itself
are allmost emotional to me.
A site made by his son is showing more of
his expressionistic works but not his strongest
works to my believe. Oil on canvas.
Dimensions 40 / 50 cm.

And another still life from Jules DeCort most
likely made with the same background.
Oil on canvas. Dimensions: 40 / 60 cm.

We've came across several works of this flemish artist
but we never saw a crayon until recently!

And another, probably somewhat later work in an expressionistic
style. The suggestive way of painting the factories on the left is
very convoncing! Work on canvas. Dimensions: 50 / 70 cm.

And his signature: no doubt about that.

Germaine DeCoster

I'm not quite sure it is actually the above mentioned
artist but anyway I like this crayon. Work on paper.
Dimensions: 25 - 35 cm.
