Theo Tobiasse / Rik Tokkie / Paul Tondreau

Theo Tobiasse

Israelian art can be admired at various places in my Blogs
and in fact Theo Tobiasse (France) is responsible for the
heritage of jewish art a bit similar to Marc Chagall and
in France the still active Raya Sorkine.

For people who are wondering wether if the signature
on their work is OK. This one fits the examples found on
the internet! Edition 88 out of 99 examples.

Rik Tokkie

What really is remarkable are the subtle colour differences
used by this artist in the background opposed to the bold
paint strokes in the foreground. And keeping in mind
that this painting has to date fro the early twentieth cen-
tury one has to conclude it is a remarkable work.

A detail of this painting.

Of course his signature. Little is known about this maker.
What a shame! Oil on board. Dimensions 25 / 35 cm.

Paul Tondreau

Though not a forefighter for modern art his way of
painting simple landscapes is intriguing.
Oil on canvas. Dimensions 60 / 60 cm.
