Zuzaya José / Alexis Svetkoff / Zweigle Walter

José Zuzaya is a Spanish born painter of did
historical places all around  in Spain. We doubted
it to be a genuine watercolor but a later investigation
made clear that it at least has to be a handcoloured litho
most likely done by the artist himself.
Work on paper. dimensions: 30 / 40 cm.

Not much later after we aquired this painting we were
on holidays in Spain. This artist several times popped up
while googling on the Spanish advertisement internetsites

Alexis Svetkoff

This painter fleed for the russian Revolution. He painted at first
in an Art Deco style but later evolved into the well known Russian
Social Realism. Lttle is known about him execpt that he stayed,
lived and painted in Belgium where he died somewhere in the
fifties of the past century. Work on canvas. Dimensions: 50 / 60.

The expression of the face is very forceful as was his style.
This is the woman of a fisherman standing near the sea.
Wondering if she ever will see her husband back.

Walter Zweigle

This German based painter and illustrator was very
active at the end of the nineteenth century. A lot of illustrations
