Frans van Genesen / George Georoy / Adolf Gerhard / Piet Gillis

Frans van Genesen

This artist allways has a very rich use of colours
that sometimes results in a little disturbing
overall view.
Not with this painting that has the right atmosphere.
Oil on canvas. Dimensions: 50 - 80 cm.

George Georoy

Georges Rausenberger (1906-1983) ( = Georoy )

This Belgian painter and archtict was married to
Irene Bataille who is also a well known paintress.
It is logical that Georges Rausenberger was inte-
rested in buildings but we still have to investigate
where this scenery is situated. Our guess is Italy.
Oil on board. Dimensions: 30 / 40 cm.

Adolf Gerhard

A German painter who worked in different countries.
In this streetview of Naarden he went back to the Middle Ages.
Oil on Canvas. Dimensions: 60 / 80 cm.

Piet Gillis

This mixed media work has been signed with a
monogramme. As it is most likely a belgium work
the initials are pointing towards Piet Gillis partly
because of the caracteristic prefix G. Though we
are not certain the quality simply is present as
the artist used carcoal, watercolour and pencil
and created a nostalgic atmosphere with it.
Work on paper. Dimensions: 15 / 20 cm
