Kostroma Nevskij / Jean van Nieuwenhuyse / Jules Noel / Emile Noirot

Kostroma Nevski

A very interesting and colorful work by this unknown
Russian artist. He brings the expression of flowers on
canvas to another level to our believe!
Work on canvas. Dimensions: 80 / 90 cm.

Only two other works auctioned in Germany were traced
and these works were also only signed on the back as
is this one. Written in Cyrillic figures but Google translate
helps: The titel is: Summer Bouquet. 1994.

Presented here are two other works from the hand of Kostroma
Nevski. It is obvious that he is a flower painter but being
produced in the nineties  of the 20th century it is strange that
there are no traces found on the internet about him / her.

Yellow Roses in a Vase is the title of this work
anyway. Auctioned in 2013 in Heidelberg.
Oil on canvas. Dimensions 70 / 90 cm.
Production year of this painting is 1996

Jean van Nieuwenhuyse

A somewhat bigger watercolour from Jean van Nieuwenhuyse.
This painter worked in different countries and one of his more
remarkable works he made in Istanbul. That was an oil on
canvas. Depicted here is Amsterdam, the oude Turfmarkt.
Work on paper. Dimensions: 45 / 54 cm.

And of course his signature that at first glance is thought
to be the prefix "T" .

Jules Noël (1815 - 1881)

A genuine watercolor by this remarkable artist.
The appears to be the clock tower in Evreux.
That church was built from 1417 during the English
domination. (France) Dimensions: 20 / 30 cm.

His signature which is spot on and of course
the double points are there on the prefix "E".

On the right, a little bit out of the middle a tear
in the paper can be distinguished but to that
disturbing to our opinion.

The encadrement is from a later date.

Close observation tells us that the figures are painted
in a quite simple way but as a whole it works well.

The artist must have had a steady hand as watercoloring
a tower this way requires a lot of skills. It is evident that
this is the typical Evreux clocktower.

And yet another detail. The difference between
the auction results for this artist is remarkable:
From 20 to 188.000 Euro's!

Emile Noirot

A watercolor from this famous Frenchman in a good condition.
We were lucky enough to be able to decipher the signature.
Rather small but in his typical colors and style.

A good observation learns us why the trees are
"moving". Just adding some violent brush strokes.

And presented here is the signature with its' typical prefix "E".
