Carl Werlemann
Edgard Wiethase
By seeing the dirty picture of this painting we were aware
of its' hidden qualities. Allmost in a Van Gogh-like way
the colors have been mixed what is becoming obvious in
the next picture. Of course the damage has to be retouched
but the colour examples are already there.
A nice painting it was allready but by retouching the
damages it became a really valuable painting. See
the picture presented here beneath.
Charles White (1928 - 1997)
As an illustrator and artist at the same time, Charles White
seems to combine these talents in this work. Though in
his specific own style, it reminds me a bit of the Henri
Rousseau approach who also worked in layers when
more than one tree and other elements were involved.
Oil on board. Dimensions: 25 / 35 cm.
The chickens are making clear that it is all about a farmer
and his wife who are resting at the side of the road.
And of course his signature which certainly is spot on.
